Corporate Speak: At Outback Initiatives, we’ve been facilitating change through experiential learning for over 26 years. Outback Initiatives is owned by Ausworks, an international human resources consultancy based in Perth, Western Australia.

We provide outcomes-based consulting, custom corporate and government training, and personal development programs designed for executives, women, youth and rural communities. Our solutions help organisations to navigate change effectively, engage stakeholders for social impact and build agile and high performing teams.

We are an accredited tour operator and award-winning small business with over 35 experienced facilitators and staff, with a proven track record for immediate and sustainable results. Over 10,000 leaders have benefited from our group experiential learning programs.

Contemporary Leadership is confusing. We need to be humble, yet bold. Vulnerable, yet strong. So many contradictions and let’s face it, we’re only human. Most of us humans operate unknowingly in patterns of behaviour which may or may not be serving us and those around us. It’s our job at Outback to help them identify those patterns, capitalise on the ones that are working and get rid of the ones that aren’t… essentially making the individual more effective and authentic leaders. What that means for an organisation is less hassle and more ‘agile’ leaders able to manage change and their teams more efficiently.

We’re not going to waste your time with useless management ‘weasel words’ which are spouted by every second management consultant. That’s why we don’t offer 1/2 day leadership workshops which are a complete waste of time and effort. If you’re serious about leadership, you’ll invest the time.

Ours is an unusual but highly effective process which enables people to really look at themselves and how they operate – all organisational change starts with the individual, and the individual needs to start with self-awareness.
