Technical Operations Manager

MATHEW is our Techical Operation Manager.  He is also and OI program facilitator, trainer, technician, and works on logistics and support.  He specialises in Youth and Indigenous Leadership, negotiation and conflict resolution, change management, and team and organisational development.  Mathew is NOLRS registered - natural surface single pitch abseil instructor and top rope climbing guide.  He has his caving qualifiactions for Margaret River area, is a Wilderness First Aid responder, surf lifesaver, is an Australian Canoeing registered Instructer, and has studied his Diploma of Outdoor Recreation.  Mathew has worked at the Martu Trust School Holiday Program, developing training and programs for indigenous staff and youth in the North West, has worked for Kids Camp Inc as a program coordinator running respite care for kids with disabilities and managing volunteers, and has also worked for the Department of Sport and Recreation in a range of different roles including Assistant Manager, Program Coordinator and Senior Instructor.  Mathew was born and raised in Perth.  Throughout the years he has travelled and lived in many places including Exmouth, Dwellingup, and Waroona.  He first started in the outdoor industry at the age of 16.  At 17 he achieved the Duxe Award for outdoor education at his school.  Mathew currently resides in Augusta with his partner Michelle.
